Living in Rome for the past two years has been a privilege I do not take lightly. But even the most beautiful cities can feel overwhelming when you are living inside them.

Between university, work, deadlines, and the chaos of being nineteen abroad, there are moments when Rome stops feeling romantic and starts feeling loud. That is usually when I escape, not out of the city, but into it. A change of sheets. An unfamiliar view. A reminder of why I fell in love with this place in the first place.

Over time, I have learned that a good hotel is more than just somewhere to sleep. It is a reset. In this section, I am sharing my favorite hotels in Rome, places I have personally stayed, from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. Whether you are visiting for work or leisure, traveling with family, a partner, or solo, or simply in need of a staycation away from the city’s chaos, these are my recommendations.

1. nhow romA

A bathroom or dressing area with a large mirror, gold-colored sinks, and decorative items on the countertop. Items include a white bust sculpture of a classical male figure, a pair of high-heeled shoes, a small handbag, a makeup stick, a cocktail glass, and various bottles of lotion or soap. There are also some jewelry and hair accessories, along with a sign on the counter that says 'thank you' in red.
