MARKE “Relics & Remnants” Spring/Summer 2027 Collection

MARKE Spring/Summer 2027 collection Relics & Remnants continues its narrative onwards from their Autumn/Winter 2026/27 Collection, The Owl. The story follows a solitary wanderer through history existing beyond chronology, a nod to Virginia Woolf’s Orlando, who has returned as a witness offering perspective on the patterns in social behaviour.

At its core Relics & Remnants reflects on how memory shapes perception. It proposes a slower consumption of the endless information around us, guided by historical awareness and curiosity.

Wardrobe acts as a dialogue between eras. Baroque-inspired undergarments, Rhingrafen-style voluminous culottes, Victorian white-tie formality, mixed with contemporary sportswear elements. References from the Renaissance to the present become intertwined into a contemporary fantasy.

Presented in the ICC Berlin, soon to close its doors to the public, a location that too has lived many lives. It has accumulated many stories from its time as a congress centre, film location, refugee shelter, and cultural venue. The building's central light sculpture, by Frank Oehring, is often described as a brain with its red and blue light evoking imagery of nerve cords. Through the transformation of the space into a living organism it emerges as the wanderer itself to present its various selves through the collection.
